Lost or Damaged Claims Procedure
We will help you all we can to resolve the claim as soon as possible,
we are here to help and have a set procedure so the claim will be handle
efficiently.
You must file a claim form with Smart Courier Ltd within 14 days of the date
we collected the parcel for damaged items and 21 days for loss.
No Compensation items:
The following items (or any item similar in dejavascription or content) can only be carried on a no compensation basis on any service. Any person sending such an item does so at their own risk: .
Ceramics.
Chandelier.
China.
Crockery.
Crystal.
Internal Electronic Damage - Added April 2010
Fluid / Liquid.
Frozen or perishable food.
Glass.
Glassware.
Hard Drive - Added June 2010
Laptops - Added 27th May 2010
Mirror.
Porcelain.
Pottery.
Televisions / Plasma & TFT Screens, Monitors
Tickets.
Vase.
Wine.
If damaged please tell the receiver to retain the packaging for the claim.
The claim form that you submit must also include:-
- The documentation left at collection point.
- Proof of value e.g. purchase order from supplier. The proof of value
should indicate the content cost value i.e. minus VAT and profit.
- Photographic evidence of damage. Please note that if the pictures take
a little time we advise you to submit the claim without the photograph(s)
without delay and then ensure we receive the photograph(s) within 10
days of the initial claims submission. (claims for damaged items only).
We will accept the claims via email or post.
